On Facebook, Gay dogs & Humping
The speed and power of social media is something I have never quite stopped being awed about. This morning. I saw a story about a dog in my fair State of Tennessee, whose owner no longer wanted him–because he was “gay.” The alarm was sounded. The dog had through today to be adopted. http://www.examiner.com/article/tennessee-dog-dies-thursday-because-he-is-gay
Like minds started passing this around and w/in an hour…doggie had a home. For the record, almost all species have homosexuality in them. It is what people in the 21st Century call “normal.” And all dogs hump inappropriately to show dominance.
Ahhh, ignorance. We beat ya quick today.

On matters of ignorance and petty homophobia… I might be wrong but I believe the technical breakdown of the word homophobia means that you are afraid of those who are the same as you. If you are afraid of gay people, that mean that you are gay too right? I doubt that fella who was mad at his dog for humping his buddy’s dog in front of all the dudes (which in my mind is what happened- one of those moments that could be captured in comic illustration, if I was an illustrator) is going to find any comfort when he realizes his dog was not the problem.

Oh yeah and I woner what he would think about interspecies erotica. My dog has (three legged white 5 pound chihuahua) makes sure to pay special attention to my cats hind quarters (20 pound black domestic shorthair)….. not to mention interracial. Oh god. Are we going to hell for allowing this? (Truthfully, I punched that ticket a long time ago)
