“she just didn’t have someone to talk to in the deepest sense.” And then she did.
This story.
Ada & Robert.
Before I met my husband, I thought that what I wanted to find most in a relationship, would be to find someone I’d always want to talk to. The first conversation we had was a memorable one for both of us. For years, our interaction with one another was brief conversations about what was in the papers.
Whether it is watching British mini-series, or discussing a documentary we just watched about North Korea to debate about the quality of this song or that—we are always in conversation.
I believe conversation restores people to themselves–reminds them of what is vibrant or horrific and why. It reveals previously hidden wrong steps in perception. It stimulates.
That is why I love this story. It is a testament.
